I collaborated with quilter Susan Ennis to create
a work about the King Bird of Paradise. We
enjoyed working together so much that we are in
the process of creating a series of contemporary
art quilts.

My passion for art is fueled by my love of nature. Through my art, I challenge myself
to learn new things, both artistic
and academic. After researching the endangered
birds of Hawaii, I focused on birds of New Guinea. There, the Bird of
Paradise species are thriving, as efforts are made to protect them.
